Stages of Healing: Contrast therapy

In our latest video, Dr David Rhodes and Dr Jill Alexander, practitioners working in elite sport and academia, talk about when they would use contrast therapy to assist with muscle recovery.

Utilizing Contrast Therapy

When?
Contrast therapy is used when transferring from the inflammatory to proliferative stages of healing. Often seen as a water therapy, but now it’s a targeted treatment to the area.

Why?
It’s beneficial during rehabilitation, helping support pliability of the soft tissues.

Using the ProMOTION EV1
The EV1 has a range of temperatures which can be controlled. Allowing an efficient, targeted contrast of 38-40 degrees after cooling.
