Scotland and Norwich City Goalkeeper Angus Gunn recently used ProMOTION EV1 to help his speedy recovery from a 3B tear in his thigh.
“Most of my use has been using the contrast therapy setting, but when I first sustained the injury I used the cold a lot more during the first week or so.”
Angus has undergone an intensive rehabilitation program with the medical team at his club, but opted to use ProMOTION EV1 in addition to complement his treatment.
“I was able to use the ProMOTION EV1 for additional therapy sessions after my work with the club’s Physiotherapists and Strength & Conditioning coaches. On my rest days or in the evenings I’d do three or four 20 minute sessions of contrast therapy with intermittent compression that I found really useful”
Six weeks post-injury Angus returned to the pitch, just ahead of the average layoff time for this grade of injury, but will continue to make use of his EV1.
“Since I have returned to training, and then fairly quickly playing in matches, I have continued using the contrast setting, but I will also use the device for focused warm-ups and cool downs after training or games.
“I certainly feel that ProMOTION EV1 has helped me get back into training and matches quickly, complementing the work I did with the club’s medical team over the 6 weeks.”
