ProMotion EV1 in Rugby
ProMOTION EV1 has proven to be a valuable asset in the world of rugby, used by both professional rugby players and their medical teams.
The cutting-edge therapy device, tackles some of the key challenges faced by rugby players in their rehabilitation from injury or for post-training recovery. It’s also used effective tool for targeted warm ups and cool downs.
In competitive sports like rugby, reducing recovery times when players are out through injury and being able to get them back to fitness and back in the game faster is crucial.
Cold therapy – cryotherapy has been shown to relieve pain and inflammation from acute injuries such as muscle or tendon strains, and ligament sprains.
Contrast (hot/cold) therapy – for when inflammation begins to stop and new tissues are forming. Contrast therapy is typically done through cold and warm water immersion, but with ProMOTION EV1 there is no need for water or ice.
Heat therapy – used in the final stage of healing to aid with the alignment and pliability of tissues and make them stronger. Heat therapy has been shown to help to relieve ongoing niggles such as lower back pain and Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS).
Compression – adding compression has been shown to increase the magnitude of the effects of cold or heat therapy. Static or intermittent compression levels can be set with ease on ProMOTION EV1.
“After seeing the success my former teammate Lewis Dodd at St Helens had using the device, I decided to invest in ProMOTION EV1 for my own recovery from a ruptured Achilles.”
Regan Grace, Racing 92
“I couldn’t speak highly enough of the product itself; it’s very good for the recovery I’m going through.”
Lewis Dodd, St.Helens R.F.C
